Sermon Topics

– God desires for YOU to be in the middle of MINISTRY; not on the sidelines.
– Gideon is waiting on God and God is waiting on Gideon. We must realize that God in His sovereignty has already made the first move.
– Don’t you DARE insult God by saying God cannot use you.

    1. God uses Common People (Judges 6:14-16)
      • God did not see Gideon as he was; God saw him as he could be with God’s power upon him.
      • It is not necessarily the man; it is God in the man.
    2. God uses Cleansed People (Judges 6:25-26)
      • If you want God to use you, you have to remove the idols from your life.
      • What is an idol? An idol is anything you love more, fear more, serve more, or value more than God.
      • God will NOT USE you if there is unconfessed/un-repented sin(s) in your life.
    3. God uses Courageous People (Judges 6:12)
      • Are you a part of the 10,000 or the 22,000 this morning? Are you ready to go to battle or are you scared and full of excuses?
      • Fear is an attitude; Courage is an action.
      • The question is not are you brave enough, the question is do you love enough.
    4. God uses Cautious People (Judges 7:4-8)
      • How many of you have your head buried in the sand (water in this case) and are not paying attention to the enemy devouring those around us?
      • Do you know what sin is? An Unexpected Opportunity, an Unprotected Life, and an Undetected Weakness.
    5. God uses Confident People (Judges 7:12-15)
      • In your eyes, you may say, “I am just barley bread; I am nothing.” Think about what you (barley bread) can become if the Lord leads you.
      • I have seen people too big in their own sight for God to use; however, I have never seen an individual too small in his own sight that God could not use.
