MEET OUR PASTOR

PASTOR BOBBY MCGUFFIE



I am thankful for the opportunity to serve at Flowood Baptist Church for the last 12+ years. During my time here, I have had the opportunity to serve as the Youth Pastor, Associate Pastor, and Pastor.

I was born and raised in Brookhaven, MS, where I attended Brookhaven Academy. At the age of 13, I gave my life to Christ and never have I had the desire to look back! At the age of 15, I surrendered to the Ministry knowing without a doubt that the Lord was calling me to preach the Gospel. Upon graduating from High School, I attended Copiah-Lincoln Community College (Co-Lin) and received an Associate Degree. After Co-Lin, I attended Southwest Bible College and Seminary, where I received my Doctorate in Ministry.

Since beginning my tenure at Flowood Baptist in September 2011, the church has experienced the goodness and faithfulness of God! The Spirit of the Lord is in this place and I strongly feel you would agree if you take an opportunity to worship with us! I believe that Jesus Christ died for all people and desires to have a relationship with all! I also believe in “Whosoever will,” and desire to see the Great Commission fulfilled to the best of our abilities. The church is called to Love God and Love People, and I desire to make Christ known in every aspect of ministry!

I have been married to Lindsey (Weddle) McGuffie of Franklin, Indiana since June 9, 2012. The Lord blessed us with one little girl, Marleigh Grace McGuffie, on August 9, 2016. Lindsey currently teaches First Grade at Flowood Elementary School and is involved in many ministries within our church!
