MINISTRIES
The goal of FLOWOOD KIDS is to help our children build a strong, lifelong relationship with Jesus Christ. Our focus is on nurturing each child’s spiritual health by guiding them to know Christ personally, grow in their faith, and make Christ known to others. Through solid, biblical teaching, we aim to shape a Christ-centered worldview that will stay with them for life.
SUNDAY SCHOOL
Flowood Kids begin their Sunday mornings at 8:45 AM with a time of praise and worship. At 9:00 AM, children are dismissed to age-divided Sunday School classes. Using the Answers in Genesis curriculum, we journey through the Bible in chronological order to help children understand God’s Word as one seamless story. At 9:45 AM, children ages 5 and up dismiss with their parents to join them in the main worship service. Children’s worship binders are provided in the church foyer to help keep your child engaged during the service.
NURSERY
Loving childcare is available during all services, including Wednesday nights. Our nursery welcomes babies through age two, while preschoolers enjoy age-specific classes. During Sunday morning worship, two-year-olds experience a special Bible story time. Our childcare directors and volunteers have a heart for little ones and welcome every child with open arms.
BIBLE DRILL
Bible Drill and Bible Buddies meet on Sunday evenings at 5:00 PM for 1st-6th graders. This fun and meaningful program helps children grow in their knowledge of God’s word. Through weekly practice, children learn to navigate the Bible, memorize key verses, and understand important passages. Bible Drill helps build confidence, discipline, and a strong biblical foundation that will last a lifetime.
WEDNESDAY NIGHTS
Flowood Kids gather each Wednesday evening at 6:30 PM. Our pre-school children attend Mission Friends, 1st-5th grade girls participate in Girls in Action (GA’s), and 1st-5th grade boys join Royal Ambassadors (RA’s). These missions-focused programs teach children to learn about, pray for, give to, and participate in hands-on mission work. Kids form lasting friendships while having lots of fun–both inside and outside the church. At the end of the church year, our GA’s and RA’s receive badges and pins for their achievements, proudly displayed on their vests.
